Today on the blog I want to talk about something that was recently brought to my attention by one of my fabulous readers, Amanda.
The topics I explore seem to be pretty typical of an almost-tewnty-five-year-old-girl: Clothes, shoes, boys, make-up.
I did say twenty-five and not fourteen, right?
Regardless, I guess you could say it's all just a bunch of fluff and photos. (I know that may sound harsh, but I am my own worst critic, after all).
Cat is 24. She has this spirit that is incredibly alive. Something that just pulls you in, or is it that smile?
The kind that could brighten the darkest of days.
Her kindness, her happiness.
What is it about her that you just cannot like?
She is truly amazing.
Something that you don't know about Cat: she is battling something so much bigger than herself. She is fighting against a disease called Scleroderma. A life-threatening condition that effects the skin and organs, hardening and deteriorating at a rapid pace.
As women, I think we can all relate to how much we value our appearance. This struggle for Cat has not only effected her physical appearance, but she is in constant pain and relies on others to help her do simple things such as dressing her self or shower.
Cat needs our help.
The stem cell transplant she is in need of cost $150,000 alone.
With the support of our community, local and nationwide, she has raised over $13,000.
This weekend a local coffee shop participated in a fundraiser to help raise money for Cat.
This is where I want to ask for your help.
