Hidden within the city

Yesterday I went on a little photo adventure (as my twitter followers already know) throughout my city. My friend Malcolm snapped a few pictures of me roaming the streets and bridges, in a non-prostitute kind of way of course. I guess I'll let you be the judge of that when I get the pictures up. Spokane is such a beautiful little town if you really look. Hidden within the busy streets and tall buildings we have the Spokane Falls. It's amazing to me how the waters starts off so still and calm. People feeding the ducks that are slowly drifting in the gentle current. It then breaks away, rolling over rocks white peaks crashing onto one another.

Until finally, it cannot be contained. A swift rush, filling the air, and everything else around with droplets of it's beauty. The sky was trying to compete releasing sprinkles that dropped sporadically on my warm skin. But the Falls won. The beauty hidden within the city.

Oh, I also took a million pictures of Kitty. Yes, her name is Kitty.

I am pretty sure every time I go on the bridge to look at the falls, I always pee my pants because it is shaky!

I agree, Spokane is such a cute little city. Sometimes people judge only what they see off the freeway (which consists of watertowers, splash down, and car junk yards) and they don't get to see all the pretty scenery.

Pictures are great. Loving your new little friend :)

I love river photos! These falls are so pretty. I live on a river, too, but we don't have anything like this. We have rapids...but no real falls. Pretty pics!

Nice pictures. I think I have lived in NYC too long when I see pictures of places where there is nature and not so many people. Really, those places exist, it's just hard to believe right now.

Well this is the first time I'm reading your blog (and I realize this is an old post) but I have a cat named Kitty and it is the most fitting name ever. Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say my cat's name is Kitty. So I'm with you!
